SUBJECT: Centennial and Holland shows this weekend
Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, Steve Sweney will not be able to play the scheduled shows at Centennial Terrace and Holland Park Theater. The Holland Park theater show will be rescheduled later this year. The Centennial Terrace show will still take place as scheduled. Joe Crump (saxophone) and Sean Jenkins (guitar) will be playing with the band at the show. If you were planning on coming out to the show, we hope you will still make it. It is sure to be an interesting show with a different twist on all of the songs. As much as we will miss Steve, we are looking forward to another fantastic night at one of our favorite places to play. Thank you for your understanding. SUBJECT: Setlist archives now opened
I have recently reset permissions so that anyone can view the setlist archives. You will still need to log-in in order to add to your personal stats page or write a review. They are now just viewable to anyone, but to post requires a sign-up or sign-in.

SUBJECT: Guitarist and Lead Singer, Mullins, Quits the Band
In the recent calmness from the turmoil of settling in a new bass player, John Mullins quit hookah on March 27th. While the details and reasons haven't and probably won't be made to the public, The Schwa will be scrambling to find his replacement. It's rumored that until post Spring hookahville 2010, good friend Eric Sargent will be filling his shoes. The shows, including hookahville and Jamaica, will go on as scheduled.

Although this is not an official site of ekoostik hookah, I will attempt to portray an accurate representation of the band's history since their inception - sometime around April of 1991.
My beginning attachment to this scene started with Dave Katz, pre-hookah. He was in Local Color at the time, when he eventually had an incling to go his own way and do his own thing.
